Residential detox for Hemet and the San Jacinto Valley

Hemet and San Jacinto are a long way from coastal treatment ads. Living Light Recovery is still in-county — a 70-minute drive, not a flight to another region — and we will tell you if RUHS Access is the faster bed.

The San Jacinto Valley has fewer private residential detox options than the 15 corridor. That does not mean a directory should invent a Hemet campus for us. Our license is tied to 7320 Rockridge Road in Jurupa Valley. This page is for the drive and the county rules, not a fake storefront on Florida Avenue.

Hemet Global Medical Center is the local hospital. If withdrawal is already medical — high fever, seizures, chest pain — start there or call 911. We coordinate with licensed healthcare professionals when a residential stay is appropriate. We do not run an ICU.

Distance matters for family visits. A Hemet relative should plan a half-day, not a lunch-hour drop-in. We would rather say that than lose someone mid-stay because the drive was a surprise.

Coverage is often the blocker, not mileage. Many Hemet households are on Medi-Cal. Start RUHS – Behavioral Health Access and our PPO verification on the same call if you are unsure which card is actually in the wallet.

Getting here from Hemet

From downtown Hemet, SR-74 west to I-215 north, then west toward Jurupa Valley, is the usual path. Plan 65–85 minutes. The 74 through the hills is slower at night and in wind.

Primary routes: SR-74, I-215, SR-79. The licensed address is 7320 Rockridge Road, Jurupa Valley, CA 92509.

If someone needs an ER first

  • Hemet Global Medical Center
  • San Gorgonio Memorial (Banning) — if you are already on the 10/60 instead of the 74

Do not trust a second address

  • If a listing shows Living Light Recovery on Florida Ave or in San Jacinto, it is incorrect.

Local access notes

  • About 70 minutes via SR-74 and I-215 in typical traffic
  • Riverside University Health System – Behavioral Health Access for Medi-Cal / DMC-ODS

Questions from Hemet

Is 70 minutes too far for detox?
For some families, yes — and we will say so if a closer county-contracted bed exists. For others, one in-county residential home is better than an out-of-area placement they cannot visit.
Do you pick people up in Hemet?
Transportation is case-by-case. Do not assume a van is waiting. Ask admissions when you call so the plan is real.
