IEHP or another Medi-Cal plan is a different door from Anthem, Blue Shield, Aetna, or Cigna PPO. Call us with name, date of birth, and member ID, and call Access if Medi-Cal is the only coverage. Mixing those on one form is how Hemet families lose a day.

The drive from Hemet

From Hemet this is a transfer: about 70 minutes on SR-74, I-215, SR-79. From downtown Hemet, SR-74 west to I-215 north, then west toward Jurupa Valley, is the usual path. Plan 65–85 minutes. The 74 through the hills is slower at night and in wind.

If a closer county-contracted or hospital bed fits, take it. Unstable withdrawal should not ride 70 minutes to prove a point. Use Hemet Global Medical Center first. Come here when we have confirmed a bed and the person can travel.
