UCI Medical Center in Orange and the many Santa Ana ERs (including AHMC Anaheim Regional for some north-end families) handle acute withdrawal. If someone is still medically unstable, they stay in the hospital. We do not accept transfers that belong in an ICU.

The drive from Santa Ana

Plan a real hour from Santa Ana — about 50 minutes on SR-91, I-5, SR-55, SR-22 when the freeway cooperates. SR-22 / I-5 to SR-91 east, then I-15 or SR-60 toward Jurupa Valley. Typical drive 45–70 minutes. The 91 eastbound in the afternoon is the delay that matters.

Confirm a bed and a clinical screen before you sit in traffic. Residential Detox Support does not get safer because you already left Santa Ana.
